My Sentence

This year I have plunged inside my self, stripped off the blanket of doubt that shrouded my being, and vocalized through song and video what mere words could not ever fathom to say to the one who truly encompasses my heart.

The Finishing Touches (temporarily)

This is an update on my progress since I last posted. I have decided upon three of the four board members I want to have. Dale Dilworth. He is an experienced producer, even making a few of his own music to accompany such songs as "Lose Yourself" by Eminem and "Ingrata" by Cafe Tacuba.He shall be one of my video experts. My next board member I have decided will be Craig Duncan. Mr. Duncan is an esteemed gentleman who has produced many videos and has even taught video production classes. Though I have never seen his work i have seen however his video producing equipment and its a very impressive array. He shall be my second specialist on video production. My third at this point shall be Tyron Hill. He is a part time rapper known as ThreeZo. He has extensive knowledge in the music business and has a studio at his home. He shall be my expert on the music portion. These three men shall be evaluating me on two different things. My two video analyst will be evaluating me and assisting me in the making of my video; the location, the camera angles, the color variations, the actors if needed, vantage point, all this I shall produce with their collaborated guidance. ThreeZo shall be my assistant with the music portion. He shall give me guidance on how to create the ultimate song and how to create it using his studio. He will evaluate me on the lyrics of my song and if they truly depict what i want them to depict which is love. All of my board members shall evaluate me on how my song and video correspond together.
Currently my research is at a complete stand still and I am out of answers and out of things to research. I have researched different camera angles, lighting, different types of locations for different types of videos, vantage points, different types of songs, song lyrics, different types of cameras and the such, but as of now I cant figure out what to look for or even research.

Research

In making the song and the accompanying music video I have decided to make the song using three different pitches of my voice whereby making it seem as if three different singers are harmonizing together. I have begun research on how to make a music video, and have begun to assemble my board that will assist me in my quest. I got my inspiration for the setup of my music video from two other music videos. In the song "Listen" by beyonce she begins the song rather slow singing just like she does all the time. But as the video progresses she begins to get louder and more impactful to that by the very end her voice is pouring into the ears. But truthfully its not her music video at all that stands out the most. Its her lyrics. Just listening to the words she says conveys so much emotion inside. All her music video did was put images to that emotion. I want the lyrics of my song to be just as impactful if not more. I want to be able to move people to some sort of positive emotion through my voice. "Everybody knows" by John Legend is the way id like to shoot the video. I love the camera angles and the way they capture just the whole thing in its entirety. The way the move from him to the plot back to him its epic. The only thing i would change is that I want to shoot it in black and white. I believe that it would look ten times better that way.

Update!!

After thinking long and hard about my project i don't believe that a radio show is what i really want to do. When i titled my post "A Voice" it wasn't because it sounded pretty. It was because of the fact that i want my voice to be heard by as many people as are willing to listen. But it doesn't necessarily have to be my speaking voice. I also want my musical voice heard. So i have decided that I am going to create a song and a music video to accompany it. I have not worked out what type of song its going to be but the genre will either be r&b or pop. I will most likely use the musical talents of the class such as maybe as a certain someones singing ability and/or a certain someones musical instrument skills.

A Voice

For my Senior Seminar project my original plan was to create a radio show. The purpose of this radio show would be for the school to have a place where they can primarily listen to the music that they want/request. Secondarily It would be a place for not only Chinquapin students but teachers and staff as well to express themselves and also concerns concerning the school or even outside issues. Now however i believe that i don't have the necessary utilities to accomplish such a feat. so instead i have decided to create a series of podcast. I am not entirely sure what they will consist off however.
