Video!!!

As far as the music video for the song is coming, I have already begun filming and I intend to finish the filming that is neccesary on campus by May 11th. After that ill be filming off campus at my own home. The song and video combined should be about 3-4 minutes. I thought about makiing a song like Michael Jacksons and have it go on for like 13 minutes but i think that overkill.

Complications

So for the school theme song I have finally found a beat to go with the lyrics that i have created. The only problem though with the beat may be that this particular beat requires a license and you must buy it in order to use it. It has a free download however. I contacted the makers of the beat but they have not yet answered me back. Thankfull Jeremy Duncan told me that if they dont answer back or give me permission he will pay for the license. I dont want Jeremy using his money to help me though. Its wrong of me to put this upon him for my project. I am going to keep contacting them until they answer and if they dont I shall pay for the license.

Change!!!

Again i have decided to change my senior project. My original idea as you know was to create a song and a music video for the song. I intend to do the same thing but in a different manner.My mother actually gave me the idea of making an Alma Mata or Alma mater for Chinquapin. For those who dont know, and Alma Mata is a schools theme song. Usually these theme songs are played by a band of some sort but i want to make the song much more urban or pop-ish in a way. I want people to jump up and scream this song when it is sung. I think this could be a really excellent idea.

Have I lost my drive?

I am beginning to get a little frustrated with myself. I cant seem to find the focus needed to write this song. I sometimes feel as if what I am doing is meaningless and that I am losing my drive to continue on even when I know the time is now and this deadline is slowly creeping up on me. So I have as of late last week decided to move in with Nick Saenz. He is doing the almost exact project as I and his drive impresses and encourages me so I wish to feed off his drive and do the best that I can as well without hindering him in the process.

And...here we go

I have begun composition of my song. A song is, if anybody was wondering just a poem without a beat to it. So to put it another way i have begun composition of my poem. I have a problem though. I find that every time i write a poem i see flaws and errors that i think arent suitable for this love poem so every time i write i end up throwing it away. Anybody can come to the conclusion that at this rate i wont ever find what i am searching for in the poem and to be quite honest neither do I

As of yet..

As of now in my project i have just gotten word back from all of my board members that they have agreed to assist me in the making of my music video and song. I live very close to my music specialist Tyrone Hill and he has agreed to allow me to come over to his studio to create some sample tracks which i am very excited about. Recently i have started listening to other genres of music besides the one i would like to do and i have taken into account their styles and intend to incorporate them with mine with the help of Tyrone.
